Hi Everyone,

Just picked up a nice looking Harlem Globetrotters Pinball machine today. The machine looks great, however when I turn it on, all of the light bulbs turn on, however none of the score display turn on and no sound.

I opened up the head and all of the boards are there. I cut out the MPU battery since it was original (A little leakage but not bad), however still nothing.

Any help would be appreciated. This is my first Solid State Pinball..

Thanks,

Chris

I'd start with the power supply....clean it up and check your voltages at each test point.....there are 5 of these. Then test for 12vdc going to the solenoid driver board, which in turn regulates this into the 5vdc the rest of the game needs. This comes in on the bottom left connector of the MPU board and you can read it at the test point (I think its TP5) This will get you going in the right direction and will probably get your game to come on.....good luck.

Got Worse

Well,

I took the MPU board out and saw that there was quite a bit of corrosion on the back of one of the connectors (Lower Left). I used a wire brush to clean it up, and tried to reflow the solder joints, however now the green light does not turn on at all.

Anyone in the the Orange County (Ca) area with one of these boards willing to let me try it in mine to narrow down what is wrong?

Thanks,

Chris
