Yup. Tutankham. I've been playing it every day for two weeks. I am not getting much better but I am figuring out a strategy. Sadly the left joystick is getting sticky. To me it's very addicting. It's not a game for lily-livered, spineless sissies. It will make you lose your cool and break you.

Man I want to play one of these so bad. I love the 2600 version but I've never played the arcade version.
I think it's very underrated. Because it's so hard it keeps you in the game. I missed out on one six years ago for $450 and he had it for sale for months. Then there was a dry spell and I did not see any for sale in years. Then Richie Knucklez was selling his for twice that price and I said to myself I'd like to get good at this before I die. So there you go. But to me it's one of those games that you're proud of yourself if you get further. I think most of us know the game from the home ports like the 2600 and myriad others thanks to Parker Bros. I think the ports sort of put the game on the map. But the arcade version is frankly ridiculous and I'd have to say that I love the game.

Most of my cabs are made out of wood so I would have to say my metal Red Tent cab is the hardest game I own...
Joust has been mean to me for 40 years. So much so I never played it again after it was mean to me on the Ocean City, MD boardwalk back in 1983. Seriously. I remember where and when and how it smelled and what the day was like. Mom and Dad gave us each $5 to spend. My brother and sister spent it on salt water taffy and ice cream. No, I had to play Joust. It completely destroyed me. It hosed me. I kept putting in quarters because it appealed to me. I blew it all. Bigtime. I don't want that game in my collection. I never had a hankering to own one. I kind of cannot stand it. Even the ports gave me bad dreams. I wish I bought the ice cream all these decades later. I know I gotta let it go...

Thank you. And it's true. I just realized that KLOV acts as my therapist because honestly I had not gone down that dark Joust road in many, many decades. I think it was very deeply seeded. But now I know why I dislike it. And it wasn't the brown cab...

The Joust hate is strong here. And with good reason....because it is "Williams-Hard".
But I do find it funny becuase Joust is my favorite Williams video game.
I suck at Joust...I just suck less than I do at all other Williams games.

Even Joust doesn't deserve to be running an 8-liner. I rescued it and now it punishes me.
No good deed goes unpunished. Especially in this hobby!
I struggle with centipede, and mrs pacman. Can not top 36k on either..
