I have a Hard Drivin' that works great except for the seat lock and minor shift issue. I took it apart and found the electromagnet for the seat was missing completely. Any suggestions for a replacement? Obviously I would like to find an original, but I realize those are few and far between. If you have one let me know! Luckily the connectors are still there so I'm fairly sure I could rig up something, just don't quite know what type was used. Also I believe there is another magnet that holds the shifter in place until the clutch is pressed and this seems to not be working either. Any help would be appreciated, and I would be happy to provide help to others on other tech issues with this game as I have been fixing it for a while now and learned quite a lot about fixing it, I'm not an expert by any means, but willing to help others. Thanks in advance.

Is this the sit down version or the compact version? I have a compact version. I also have the operator's manual that does not show in the illustrated parts list a magnet in the shifter assembly. It shows a compression spring and a 3/8" ball.

Sit down, I know there has to be another magnet/solenoid that will work, but the manual doesn't state the ohms or anything about the magnet... I might just try some and see what works.

I was searching around for parts for my machine and found out that Mylstar sells parts for both the cockpit and upright version. His website is http://www.arcadefixit.com/. He shows a picture for a magnet mounting plate. He also has a seat adjust button. I do not know if any of these will work for you, but it is worth a look.

Ya already ran across that, thanks though. I sent him a msg as I saw he had the magnets a few years back. What I am really hoping to find is an substitute part for both the shifter mag and seat mag. I have the part numbers but there is no info on any specs such as ohmage and volts. I get 5.5 to the seat lead, and when using the test menu for the seat lock it only goes to 5.9, is this even enough to run a magnet?? Thought it would be more like 12v.
