I have never served in the Military, but I would like to thank anyone here or abroad that has served for our country and gives me the ability to collect the games that I have today.
To all that have served, thank you!
:)

Thanks! (from a Navy Submariner and ANG civil eng vet)

Hope that the rest of the Vets here have a great day. I realize that for some Vets the experience is/was bittersweet. I consider myself lucky to have walked away from my time in service with only a back that requires some careful handling. Others never walked away at all.... or when they did, they carried some heavy burdens.

Either way, thank a Vet today and even if all you get is a grunt in return, hopefully they are grateful for the acknowledgement on some level.

Thanks Shawn. I'm a 6 year Navy Veteran. Got out as an AE2. Great times. I owe everything and where I'm at in life to being in the Military.

Veterans day is always a bit bitter sweet. I celebrate those vets I was lucky enough to call my friends who have passed away. I use to have a cook out at the shop and invite all the vets I knew. For years I got 10 to 20 guys together to eat BBQ and they talk about their experiences. I miss those days.

I'm also not a veteran, although I worked in the Veterans Benefits Administration for 6 years, I have more appreciation for all former and current military men and women than ever before. Thank you all for your service and sacrifices.

Happy Veterans day and thank you for your service.

For those of you who are eligible or have family that is, my Vietnam vet uncle would highly recommend going on the Honor Flight.

My uncle, who's loves traveling and is always up for an adventure, reluctantly went recently. He didn't want to go for his own reasons but his children basically forced him to go. He was truly touched by trip and would recommend it to any vet. He also made some new friends and will now be taking part in the honor flight program as part of the motorcycle motorcade. Cant recommend it enough.

Awesome thread on an awesome day...as many have reflected both through personal and family experiences, the Navy has helped shape my family's life with many great life experiences and opportunities..thank you to all who have and who currently serve and to the families that keep everything together
