I know, I know... Everyone hates on The X-Files pin, and I guess I lose silverball street cred by liking it, but I do. I'm a longtime "X-Phile", so the theme goes a long way with me, but I like the gameplay well enough also. (I've definitely played a lot worse.)

This machine had recently come off route and was dirty as all get-out, but she cleaned up really nicely and is fully working. There was also a lot of bad bulbs that needed to be replaced, and while I got most of 'em changed out, I ran out of #89s. (DOH!)

I bought the pin with money made from the sale of my "Star Wars Trilogy Arcade", so that was 100% awesome.

Now I need a "White Water"!

Nice!!!

Nice pickup!, I always liked the creepy X-files theme.I never played this pin maybe one day i will come across one

played 2 or 3 games once a few months ago

i liked it pretty well

always fun to "rescue" a pin from the dirty dregs of a warehouse or storage area. lotsa work too but well worth it usually

happy birthday - and if you enjoy playing it: that's all that matters !

but do get a WW too as that game is awesome :)

Awesome show. Never played the pin. I'll definitely give it a spin if I ever see one. Happy Birthday!

Good pickup! Thses are one of the FEW Sega pins I can tolerate!

Any wear in front of the file cabinet? Definitely prone in that area cause of the magnets..

This pin also has great audio; just wish Sega pins had better speaker setup for it! My only real complaint is those ramps are real tight shots and brutal!

One question, is there any difference if you pick Mulder or Scully in the beginning?

nice!!! if you ever run across another one, let me know...my wife is a huge x-files fan, she has all kinds of x-files stuff and she'd flip if i got her one of these...i even bought her a david duchovny autographed 8x10 for Christmas a few years ago

A guy was selling one at the last Chicagoland show this past year. I believe it was non-working but don't remember his price tag. If he still has it for the next show, I'll relay his info to you....

I'm not sure if there's any wear or not, as it has the protective plate metal in front of the cabinet. (Bonus!)

I agree. They should have at least used more than lousy one speaker for the game.

It reminds me a lot of Frankenstein in that way. I LOVE that game, but there are some really tight shots on that table.

As far as I can tell, only in the voice samples you hear. However, I haven't put nearly enough time into playing the game to be an authority. So far, most of my time with the machine has been spent replacing bulbs and cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. ;)

Will do.

I got real lucky on this machine, as it was just a few miles down the road, at an operator's who I had recently made friends with. The only other time I saw this pin for sale, it was on eBay, usually far, far away from my neck of the woods.

Nice self-birthday present. Somewhat surprised they haven't rebooted the show by now.
