I finally got my Star trek voyager's monitor installed - however, now the guns won't calibrate.
Does anyone have a schematic for the HAPP Optic Gun PCB dual
96-006-100 smt
?

I measured 5V at the connector.

Troubleshooting advise would be helpful

BTW - do you hear the fire or reload when you pull the trigger? Can you tell if the optic is working? Is the lens clean or dirty?

Couple other things:

- on the connector for the guns pin 4 and pin 8 (blue wires with stripes) are the signal inputs for the guns. Anyway you can test for it?

- I don't know if you have messed with the BIOS, but is the Integrated Peripherals: Onboard Parallel Mode set to EPP?

Did none of those others I gave you work as a swap?

Only tried one - it behaves the same as the original.

No. fire doesn't appear to work. All I see is the screen flash white when I pull the trigger.

Not sure how to tell. Calibration screen comes up 257,193 on both guns. seems odd to me they come up that way regardless of covering the lens or not.

I tried cleaning the glass lens. No effect.

I had bios set to epp. tried both 1.7 and 1.9 with no effect.

If I had a schematic or how to guide; I might be able to test it.
Right now; I don't know what to look for. I could hook up a scope to the board to see if it works; but again - no base/reference to compare to.

This is from the manual
Hope it helps

Ah - plus marks do not appear on my screen when firing in the calibration screen.
Wonder what the deal is...

It's finally working. I adjusted the brightness until the black background was a shade of grey; then turned up the contrast. Prior to this; I had turned the brightness down too low and the colors were muted.

The Light Gun optics are a little sensitive; I'm not sure exactly how to calibrate the guns w/ regards to distance from screen / etc.

I got it to work by pointing the guns at the + sign within inches of the screen glass during calibration.

This one needed a 25" EGA arcade monitor, a new IDE hard drive.

Still todo: 1) start button for player 2, some locks, and some t-molding.

The only machine I have left now is a Sega Star Trek... which I am missing the captains chair wood and monitor for.
