Happ Controls Vision Pro Cap Kit?

There are so many revisions of that monitor chassis, that it would be better to take an inventory of what's on the chassis and create the order yourself. When I did mine, there was something like THIRTY caps to do. It's insane.

Try the list on this thread, I think you'll find it to be pretty close:

The only kit I can find on his site is Vision Pro MTG-1901CN Cap Kit are you sure this is the right one?

Happ did not make the Vision Pro monitor. They had other companies make the monitor for them, and they simply put their name on it. Over the years, there's been a handful of different companies making them.....I've personally seen 3 different manufacturers.....Tovis, Kortek, and Segai. I'm sure there's more. They are all different. So, to figure out what cap kit you need.....you have to figure out who actually made your monitor.

Heres the Happ/Kortek

Here's the Happ/Segai

The Happ/Tovis was also used by Wells-Gardner as their WG7302 series. Bradley's link above will give you it's cap list.

And how!! I've got one of these on the bench, right now. Jeeze, I'd almost forgotten how much I loathe this series.

I've got 4 sitting here to do (all for my own use) after I get done with this last batch of chassis. All have some sign of life, so hopefully a cap kit will be all that's needed. Did anyone ever figure out a good CMOS replacement that is more reliable than what's already there?

I honestly don't know. I've got very little experience with these (just enough to know I hate them).....the one I'm working on now makes (maybe) my third one to fix. (and probably look for a repair help thread, later today:confused:)
