Happ Competition Joysticks Won't Move Diagonally Well.

I was wondering if there's anything I can possibly do, or use to help make the happ competition joysticks I use on my cabinet move diagonally better? The ones installed on my cabinet have such a tough time moving in diagonal directions, and I often can't make them do so, unless I'm moving them in another direction first, and I'm unable to do most of the special moves in fighting games as a result. Any ideas as to if there's anything I can possibly install to help this issue they're having?

the actuator on the bottom isn't supposed to turn with the shaft. I've noticed Happ's build quality on the competition joysticks is hit or miss in this respect.

if anything I suppose you could try greasing the shaft part where the actuator clips on to loosen it up. your diagonals probably aren't working correctly cause the actuator is getting turned and is getting stuck in the corners.

I upgraded to heavy springs on my KI and KI2 and have been thoroughly disappointed in their performance with my Happ Comps. it made them very inaccurate. I'm actually considering buying IL Eurosticks instead because it's THAT bad.

And what's weird is that I had happ ultimate joysticks installed on my old Double Dragon II/Jamma cabinet, and they both worked perfectly, and was able to move diagonally without any issues, unlike the competitions on my new cabinet. I was wondering if there's also maybe something I can possibly get from Home Depot (like some washers), or another hardware store that may help? I also did notice that the actuators do seem to move with the joystick, and would maybe replacing them help at all either? They're the black ones (which I heard aren't as good or reliable as the white ones were), and am curious if replacing them with the better white ones (which I can get from Bob Roberts for dirt cheap) may possibly do me any good either?

This is probably not the case with yours (certainly if they are new), but I had some 8-way sticks were the diagonals were really iffy, and it was the switches themselves. The nub on the switch that the actuator hits had been worn down and the diagonal was not able to push the switch far enough to make contact.

cheers

And they are brand new (as the machine was when I got it, and just made), and I can move the joysticks in any other directions without any issues, and can sometimes move them in certain diagonal directions at first, but still often have a hard time doing so. It's toughest with moving them down/right it seems, which I really have to fight to do, and have to move it forward first, which makes doing so a pain most of the time.
