well it has a burnt resistor right under the lil board for the monitor... its to burnt to see the colors on it to find a replacement... any help? it says R255 i believe.... thanks

thanks alot.. i look all over that but didnt see a R255 any where? is that for a different polo? i have 1 in my mk2 and it dont look like the 1 im tring to fix..... any more help ...thanks again

It's a 100 ohm but it burns on every Polo I've seen. It probably needs a flame proof resistor there for safety.

ok put new 1 on and didnt work at all. found that the lil black thing next to it a lil behind in the pic was blown/ lil melted and i cant read the #'s.... it the lil 3 post black half circle thing in pic to be clear..... and help again?

That's a transistor. It looks like the board location is either T113 or T119 (can't make out the markings on the board clearly). You'll need the correct schematic and/or the parts list to identify the transistors industry standard number.

ok thanks , its T 119 on the board... where can i find the schematic and/or the parts list and can a noobie read it and figure out what to buy like my self? i just had put a new fly back on it and it look and worked great for about an hour before these two parts blew....
now i also put a cap kit on it hoping to get it working after this last part get put on.... thanks again

and on that transistor i can see what looks like C567C or C547C and under the # it has ph_6... i cant see the _ .... thanks again

the only schematic i found was for a polo 14 -21....
but the T 119 said trans BC 337-25.... is this what i need? or do i need the 25 inch monitor schematic # for sure because i can find it...thanks

ok , by looking at mudhens link again i see T 119 says BC547B and like i said what i thought my blown 1 said C547C... i guess the C or B at end doesnt matter?

Hantarex generally uses European transistors so likely it's a BC547B. It should cross reference to an NTE replacement commonly available in the USA.

ok here we go again.... fixed the two parts and installed cap kit and the the screen came up with a line across it than went to the dot in the middle..... than it fried the resistor that i just fixed in the pic.... now were to start? i just cant win..lol but im try'n.....
