Hantarex Polo new flyback, new HOT and now I get a ticking/clicking sound

Working on a Hantarex polo I just got, when I plugged it in intially the flyback started burning up on me. I just put in a new flyback from bob roberts and a new HOT and now I am getting a ticking/clicking sound coming from the chassis. The B+ is showing 0. The new flyback is a hr7191. Any ideas where to start?

Have you put a cap kit on the chassis? Try lowering the B+ adjustment a bit, or put your monitor on a variac at 50% power and then check your B+ you might be triggering the HV shutdown circuit

Have the cap kit. Still have to put it in,hopefully tonight I will have time. Tried to adjust B+ with no luck. The new flyback does have the big pin that comes off from the big metal part on the back, the name of it is slipping my mind right now but the old one did have it. What that make a difference?

Sorry you're having trouble.

I have a Hantarex Polo 25 myself that I'm ordering a cap kit for. Mine is making a strange buzzing noise currently. I'm hoping it's not the flyback.

have you replaced the flyback yourself? did it ever work?

Started to plug away at monitor and so far r101 and r102 in power supply are showing open. Maybe not, just looked at schematic and they seem to be some special type of resistor I think, not like a normal one.

Got to working on the chassis again today with no luck, still getting the ticking noise and no B+. I used the flowchart from randy fromm and everything he said to check seems to be fine. I swapped the new flyback I got onto another polo chassis I had which didn't work but had high B+, with the new flyback I get the same result B+ showing nothing and the ticking sound. Is it possible that the flyback I just got is defective? The HOT is good.

It's alive It's alive! Finally got the darn thing working. I swapped the flyback to the orginal board and finally got around to do the cap kit. Also while I had it apart I re-checked the HOT and it was toast so I put a good HOT in and it works:) B+ is at 138.Initally when I plugged it in there was only a white line down the center of the screen, I realized that I hadn't plugged in the remote board and once I did I got a full screen. Feels good to have it up and running.
