My apologies in advance for my lack of knowledge on arcade/crt hardware as im completely new to this stuff. I may not understand alot of terminology related to the issue so have mercy lol.

Anyway, i recently purchased a killer instinct arcade machine that has some minor monitor issues. The screen gradually shrinks vertically and i have to adjust it every so often via the adjustment board which has been mounted just inside the coin door and connected to the monitors main board via an extension cable. The spindle used to adjust the vertical stretch however is extremely sensitive in comparison to the rest of the spindles, requiring just the slightest touch to stretch. Im not sure if this is normal or not and if not maybe it has something to do with the gradual shrink. Perhaps it is also something that could be solved via a capacitor replacement on the main board? Just wondering if anyone could share some insight on the issue. Any info is much appreciated. Thanks!

it's entirely normal, every Polo I've ever worked with was like this. I've washed the remote boards with Simple Green, hot water, and toothbrush (drying thoroughly afterwards) and managed to improve the condition. but it'll never be perfect. it's a question for @M K L ... perhaps there's some other part on the deflection board that's out of spec.

I have the US schematics on my site: https://www.arcaderepair.net/hantarex-polo/

Ahh okay thanks for clarifying that! Ill have to try and wash the board and see how that affects it. I also neglected to mention that once the screen starts to shrink the picture is also slightly slanted downward toward the left side of the screen. Hardly noticeable when the vertical adjustment is fit to the whole screen but still there.
