So I basically plugged this thing in straight into the wall without an ISO...
I haven't tried plugging it into an ISO yet, but whenever I plug in straight to the wall, the side with the large capacitor starts smoking. Is there anything that can be replaced or is known to be dead? R29 looks a little burnt, and the larger resistor behind that potentiometer looks fried as well. Not sure about the 7905, smelt funny to me.

If it requires an ISO to be used on it, this may be your issue....

I need a better description of the smoking part.

That monitor needs an isolation transformer......stop plugging it into the wall.

The smoking component is R29, the resistor that has a dark spot on it. Also, the yoke magnets are making a high pitched pulsating noise, almost as if it's trying to turn on.
