Hantarex MTC900 video issue

I made a capkit, but it didn't solved the problem. I am going to order the filter cap (not included in the previous capkit) because i suspect it could be the source of the problem.

In addition, i noticed that B+ is not stable... this means that the incoming voltage is not well "smoothed". I checked the 4 big diodes of the bridge and they are good.

Mine did the exact same thing after I replaced the Fly, Hot, and capped it. Never did go back and try to diagnose it. I'll watch this thread to see how it goes.

1) Definitely an AC filtering issue. I just fixed a different monitor that looked exactly the same, and it was a bad filter cap. I could feel the top domed under the wrapping. Other culprits woulf be the voltage regulator and rectifying diodes.

2) Your batteries on your CPU board need to be replaced.

3) Do you have an issue with red? I thought there is usually another line in red between those two...

Thanks for the help.

With "voltage regulator" do you mean the B+ potentiometer?

It's possible there's an issue with colors (maybe induced by the instable current flowing), but to me looks like all the colros are affected in some way, not only the red (the image is flickering fast so it's not easy to determine this for me)

Are there batteries on the monitor chassis? Never noticed... where are they located on the mtc900? Maybe you where referring to the batteries on the Joust PCB: that battery (i installed a cr2032 mod) is ok (the problem is still there by swapping boards ;))

Thanks a lot :)

SOLVED!

It was not sufficinet to substitute all the capacitors exept the big filter cap: after substituting that big bastard all went good!

Thank to all for the help
