Working on a 19" Hantarex monitor. I did a cap kit. However, this didn't change the picture. The screen is wavy. Looks like it's moving. None of the adjustments will help this. Any idea on what could be wrong with it?

Changed Cap, got worse

Well,

I changed the filter cap (330uf 200v) It got worse! yikes! Still wavy but worse wave.
RV12 is B+ adjustment. I put my meter leads on the ceramic capacitor next to the flyback and only get 85vdc.
Turning RV12 did nothing to change the value. I guess love voltage is the culprit? Anyone have any idea on how
to fix this?

degauss coil?

I don't see a degauss coil.. Where do you find it? What does it look like? Got a pic or something? Now I"m thinking that's the problem as it looks like it's stuck in degauss mode.

The degauss coil is the thick coil of wire that goes all around the outside edge of the picture tube. It looks like a bundle of wires wrapped in tape, but it's a coil of fine wire. It plugs into the chassis with a two pin connector.

had a hanterex monitor that was acting like i was looking through a half an inch of water
is this what you are describing as "wavy" ?

anyway, very soon the flyback stopped working, shorted or whatever they do when they die and go to flyback heaven

Flyback

I think you are 100 percent correct. I did disconnect the degaussing wires. This brought the screen back to full size but unfortunately, still wavy. I received a new flyback. I'll install next and will post results. I gotta get this thing running!

Urgh

OK... Someone with a Hantarex Monitor must have experienced a wavy Screen. I initially was getting 145vdc B+ voltage. I changed R18 resistor which is supposed to be 56k. I couldn't get a reading off it. Changed it to 56k and the picture got smaller and the B+ went from 145vdc to 85vdc. Now it's too low. I changed the voltage regulator and still I get 85vdc when I should be getting 115v. RV12 adjustment pot doesn't work to adjust. Any other ideas what could be pulling down the B+ voltage? Thanks in advance to the monitor experts.

Fixed!!!!!!!!!!

OK.. So the fix was easier than I thought but it was totally passing me by.
TR6 and TR7 transistors were mounted backwards!!!!!!! urgh!!!!! I got this game this way and it was killing me why I was getting some negative voltages. Now I know.. Reversed the EBC on these and boom, game looks fantastic!
