Okay, so about 20 years ago I was way into hand painting fine detail miniatures and restoration of old ceramic decorations. I have never done pinstriping which I think is a closer skill but I am pretty sure that my painting skills are still stored somewhere in the depths of my brain.
The problem is that some of my machine's art is in between the level of damage where I want to replace the sideart and where I think hand touch up will make the machine pop. This is especially true on my Ataris where the sideart is silkscreened and not stuck on.

Anyway, my question is what types of paints are you guys getting good results with? Specifically, Brands and types..

Thanks!

not sure what your touching up, but grab a couple of the different paint marker color sets they do wonders on small touchups

Right now I am working on a Star Wars, Centipede, Asteroids and a Kangaroo I am picking up next week, all with decent side art but they also each have slight defects. I don't think that replacing the side art on these particular games is worth it since they are not that far gone and to be honest I kind of like the patina of the original art. I just wanted to repair/touch-up some scratches on all the games and some slight swelling on the Asteroids. I guess what I am asking is what type of paint (acrylic, enamel, oil, latex, ect..) is best for touch-up via hand painting?

More specifically what blends best with with the texture of original screening process and holds up to future cleanings ect...?

You gotta see if you have a hobby shop in you area, one that sells model kits , brushes and testors paint.

I personally don't bother with sideart touch ups unless its something like a TAITO cab , I have my buddy make a vinyl stencil and re spray it myself.
