Just recapped this monitor. All 35 caps. Anyways, I notice that the wire that goes between the SP24 and SP25 spot on the defelection board had been cut at sometime for some reason.

Now, the monitor works just fine. However, should I be concerned? I look at the print, but I can't really tell why or what it did. It's just a jumper wire. But it's been cut in half and given the dirt around it, probably years ago. Here is the manual:

http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/ARCADE/A-J/Hantarex%20MTC900E%20%2819in%20Color%29%20%5BService%5D%20%5BEnglish%5D.pdf

Tell me what you think, before I put all this back together. Again, I don't know why it's been cut, perhaps a MOD that Hanatrex did or had the OPS do. Not sure.

Well, first we should all smack you around for linking us to a Google search for the manual, rather than the actual manual.

Then we should smack you around for not reading the f*cking manual (RTFM) you linked us to.

;)

On the bottom of page 8 of the manual (page 10 of the pdf):

Touche',

However in my defense, at least I linked the damn manual instead just relying on everyone to find it on there own. Yes? ok.

I read that manual and for some reason I missed that. However, thank you for responding nonetheless. BTW, The the jumper is green not yellow.....ok now i'm reaching. ;)

However, on the plus side. After that Cap kit, the monitor is much brighter and the colors are viberent. A lot of caps to change out though, much more than my G05 had that I did earlier.

I do have a question though, is there a reason why Bob Roberts never includes the larger caps in his cap kits? Not a diss on him as I have been buying from him quite a bit, just more a question in general.

This is my third monitor that I've capped and I always have to order the larger ones separate. Id be nice if it was included.

Thanks again for the help and I'll fix the link. Doesn't mean much now though. :)

If by "larger caps" you are referring to the filter caps, it's because:

1) they almost never fail
2) they are pretty expensive to include in a "cheap" cap kit
