Another year another great Halloween party. The games and especially the pin got played more this year then any other year I've had it. We had a total of 202 people. A few pics:

Using that laundry basket for the ice-cream cone was a neat idea, although the person inside doesn't look all that comfortable.

We had zero people show up. We took our kids to 4 houses in our neighborhood (the only ones with pumpkins out) and 3 of the 4 commented that we were the only ones to show up at their houses.

Sure is different from when we were kids. Or maybe we just went to the "right" places?

Growing up we were in a suburban sprawl with tons of houses around. Our street now is a dead end off a busy road, so none of the kids on other streets come to ours. Plus it's an old neighborhood so we have a lot of retirees with no kids, and no inviting halloween decorations.

It seems around here it's mostly trick-or-treating at businesses (the mall, the grocery story), community centers, or having my kids come around at work.

If we actually had a good stream of kids, I'd love to put out games like this for others to enjoy.

Me too, but I might get one or two trick or treaters each year, sometimes none. I remember my mom used to make rice krispy treats and wrap them in saran wrap and hand those out. Those days are long gone.

I didn't take a survey or anything, but we had a decent flow in our area. Two or three times I couldn't hold enough candy in my hands to put one in each of the bags held open in front of me.

I think every neighborhood goes through it, though. Mine I think is fairly young, most of the houses were built in the last six years. My parent's area was bumpin' back in the Halloween day. These days it's much, much slower.
