Another year.. another great party. Exceeded our count from last year greatly. 134 kids walked in and out of the game room, not including parents and we had 2 dogs this year. Took well over 100 pictures.. will post a few later tonight or tomorrow. I'm already counting down til next years party. :)

Now its time to count down to CAX. Get your ass on a plane this year and make it happen.

Looking forward to your Halloween pix.

Our town celebrated Halloween tonight. They held the Halloween parade tonight, because all the rest of the towns are celebrating tomorrow night. This way they could get the kids from neighboring towns. As far as I know, nobody around is celebrating on Sunday... I have no idea why though.

Fortunately, Halloween in Irvine is always held on Oct. 31. Even if it falls on a Saturday.

When I lived in WV, I remember they would always move it to a school night in the hopes to get kids off the street earlier than if it were celebrated on Friday or the weekend. I've noticed a lot of my east coast friends posting pics of their Halloween already...so they must still do that.

At my kids school and afterschool care, they cannot even mention Halloween because it offends some of the religions.

Also at my kids school, no candy corn treats because they have peanut oil, and some kids are allergic to peanuts. You just can't tell the kids who have allergies to not eat candy corn because of the allergy, so they can be responsible for themselves, you have to ruin everyone elses good time to protect the few.

Justin you didn't comment on CAX. Save those nickles from the vet solicitations and make it happen my friend.

I love halloween too. However in nowhere Iowa our kids still have a halloween parade. Its fun. However candy corn is just not worth the fight. A bit of sarcasm follows:

Kid has a reaction to peanut oil in candy corn recipe or has a hysterical psychosomatic reaction

kid goes to hospital and is saved by an epi pen or the attention they seek.

Parent is pissed or pretends to be emotionally damaged and harmed deeply.

Parent sues the school, teacher, and doctor.

Parents Wins the lawsuit and buys a escalade, some whiskey and a flat screen television.

Kid shows up to school with a peanut butter sandwich in his lunch bag a week later.

school looses 4 teachers, french class, orchestra, and art for the next 7 years. :D

PS: I'd rather eat a cold moist dog turd than a handful of candy corn.

I'll trade ya...... :)

We're holding Halloween tomorrow (Saturday) this year.
Town will do trick or treating between 6 and 8 p.m.
Really it's all about the "Sunday" thing here.

Damn it was sooooo much different from when I was a kid.
(and I'm not that old yet, geez)

We live too far out of town to do anything here at the house.
Probably the ONLY thing I will ever miss about being in a "neighborhood"...... doing the house up for Halloween.
