For as long as I've known @CarrieZ, she's always invited the neighborhood to enjoy the games on Halloween for a couple hours. With Halloween on a Friday this year, we inevitably had more visitors than ever before, namely kids. We typically open things up from 8-10pm but because of the heavy traffic, we decided to keep the garage open for another hour. Good times were had and everything ran great. Needless to say, it was a lot of fun. Exhausting, but fun.

Here's a little footage I recorded with my phone.

Great shots and great turnout! Very cool. Too funny seeing the oompa loompa and the little evil clown...but coolest of all is Ringer! Love that EM!

Funny you mention Ringer. My biggest highlight of the night was introducing Ringer to a 6 or 7 year old boy. After I helped him get the hang of it, we played about four games together, head-to-head and had some close games. It was awesome. (I'm kicking myself for not having someone take a picture.) Later in the night, I was chatting with some neighbors and I noticed that the same boy (who had wandered around to the other games) came back to Ringer to play more. That was my "win" for the night.

That is a huge win. Nice to hear the youngster can dig the antiques! That weighted wheel is wicked satisfying to spin for sure. Good work you two!

Looks great. How'd the Circus do this time around? I had my nieces and nephews over yesterday as well as 2 of my uncles (both named Larry). I taught 70 year old uncle Larry I how to play Circus and I think he really liked it. 65 year old Larry II didn't play any games, but did have a beer.

Great game selection in a nice garage game room. Great to see kids playing so many games.

2 criticisms: 1) you could've taken more pics of elvira and 2) Waldo wasn't even TRYING to hide.
thanks for posting :)

Awesome

I opened up our garagecade as well on Holloween. Didn't take any pictures this year but it was a hit with the kids and their parents. Glad to expose our hobby and passion with the next generation.

It would be so fun to do something like this but:

1) All my games are inside the house proper
2) In my entire adult life, I've only ever had one single trick or treater come to my door.

Sometimes the middle of nowhere is a less fun place to live.

Circus was constantly played. We have a couple neighbors that specifically were asking about that game. I wasn't able to really get good photos/videos of it since it's now in the second row on the inside, behind Ms. Pac, and I would've had to plow through the crowd to get back there. Thankfully, it's easy to tell if the game is being played because the unique sounds cut through every other game's audio. Later in the night, I did coach a couple people and explain some of the tactics. It's such an approachable, charming game that it's no wonder why it's popular amongst all age groups.

That reminds me, we need to update some scores on the scoreboard one of these days.

I was just thinking we're at the point where most of the parents of these little kids are themselves too young to remember or experience a proper arcade.
