I was planning on rebuilding this thing tonight, but the latest K7000 kit I got from BR has some caps swapped around. Looking at the board, it's amazingly hacked up. It was mounted to a QNIC CGM-2500, so maybe these hacks are to make it work with that? I know some K7000s have riser cards that go into this unlabeled socket that most of the action is centered around, is this a hacked up replacement for one of those?

Yup i have seen them before.

nope that is not a hack job.

those are undocumented factory additions.

i have fixed several of them.

i even fixed one of those K7000's today they work just fine.

Huh. I never in a million years would have guessed that came out of the factory looking like that.

Total madness, but it did actually fire up after recapping & replacing the fly.
