I finally got an 8 ohm 5 watt speaker and was preparing to get it installed but what the hell, the front glass holding bracket is nailed on. Are all Gyruss like that? I am not to keen on trying to pull the nails so I am going back door man and pulling the monitor to get to the speaker.

Its been a long time since I owned a gyruss, but can't you remove the speakers without pulling the monitor? I remember I could unplug the speakers from the back.

Did you try to remove the marquee? I think there is a plastic holder that holds the glass and the marquee.

if you cant get the glass out through the top, then go at it from the bottom. In this ebay ad, there looks to be 2 screws holding the lower bracket in place.

Well they aren't nails, but whatever they are I could not figure out how to get the lower bracket that holds the glass off. I pulled the monitor and replaced the speaker and all is good with the Solar system now.

The bezel comes out by removing the two screws on the bottom bezel bar. One is pictured below. Standard phillips head...

Cleaned up the screw heads and discovered they have 2 little holes. I also found a little sardine can opener key type thingy that unscrews them.
