i believe that #1 and #3 in the first post are correct, with the paper bezel installed with the cut part to the top like a right-side up "U".

page 11 of the manual also shows a black and white drawing with it in this orientation.

Thanks I don't have a manual. I guess mine is upside down.

Yes, the "U" is correct. Flyer shows it as well:

it happens pretty often since it fits and looks fine in a number of different ways. there's nothing obvious to say "this way up" or "install directly behind glass."

of course, regardless of the bezel orientation it's a totally kick-ass game and i'm psyched about the one i'm going to go pick up next week. i'd have it now but i have to make some room somewhere for it.

Thanks for all the help guys. I wonder why it's installed upside down on mine?

There are a LOT installed upside down.... I have a feeling that Centuri may have assembled many of them that way at the factory, for whatever reason. But it is clear from the artwork which way it really belongs.

Yes, this game is really fun. I never played it back in the day. I am glad a fellow KLOVer 7146Aaron suggested it to me.

One of my favorite games now as it was back in the day when it was a new game. Never made it to Earth back then but am getting oh so close nowadays.

The way I look at it, when installed correctly, the bezel helps hide the speakers and their cardboard covers/monitor surround. Mine came upside-down and sunken, not flush. Seems to be quite common to screw this up.

Anyone ever thought of doing clear plexi to show off the bezel art a little better?

I see you have a Time Pilot PCB for that cab also. Does it just plug and play?

Yep, pnp. I read somewhere about a do it yourself switcher using a parallel port switch, but don't know where the link is now. I would like to add some kind of switcher so changing games is easier. PITA to pull the cab out just to play a different game.

I thought about the same thing. I'd like to find a parts Gyruss with the wiring harness/coin door and put my Time Pilot PCB in that. I can envision making some custom artwork for it.
