I bought two gyruss machines a few months ago, the one I bought to keep has been awesome. The 2nd one has not worked since I got it home. I checked all the connections and reset them but it does not power up. Screen does not turn on. Before I picked it up and loaded it my son was playing it with no problems. What could of happened, it was not dropped or anything. Any tips would be great so I can get it back running. Thanks!

1) Make sure that the outlet into which you are plugging the game works.
2) Look in the cabinet for interlock switches. These are designed to turn the game off when the coin door and back door are open.

3) Find the power supply, likely in the bottom of the cabinet, and try to identify a main fuse. Check it. Don't just look it at, use a multimeter to verify continuity.

Not familiar with Gyruss, played it plenty back in the day but haven't been able to find one for the collection yet. If it was working, I'll bet it's something simple. If it's totally dead, no marquee light or monitor glow, check the AC line cord, on/off switch if it has one, some games don't. Check the fuse and if it has interlock switch's make sure their in the on position. Some games have 2, one on the back door and one on the coin door so game wont fire up if the back door is off or coin door is open unless you pull the switch pin out or hold it in. Some games don't have interlock switches or they have been bypassed. If monitor and marquee light has power but game is still dead check the power supply for fuses and test the voltages.
