WoW! How did I miss this band? Excellent stuff, thanks for sharing.

Count me as the newest fan :)

For those in the New England/Northeast area that dig Synthwave, I organize and DJ a monthly night at FreePlay Bar and Arcade in Providence, RI. It's a perfect mix of synth and arcade action all night, and usually falls on the last Thursday of the month. We get a great crowd and even live acts once every other month. I'd love to see some KLOV'ers there!

And for the truly hardcore, we also run a semi-annual international Synthwave and retro culture festival called NEON. More on the 2020 edition of that one soon. ;)

If you are into the whole vinyl thing a lot of these albums get printed on short runs and sometimes re-pressed, staying up on the releases is tough sometimes though. There's a very good facebook for announcements.

Check out the Dream Electric 2 compilation, probably can still get a copy of it, it's a 2LP set full of great ch00nz. The first volume goes for sick money on ebay/discorgs.

A few favorite mixes:

There's some solid Sega arcade remakes on this one halfway through (14:27):

Not sure if this has been posted before....but I just discovered this music and damn, I'm addicted to it.

Check out this particular video called Video Game Champion....all kinds of 80s electro music and arcade nostalgia.

Anyways, just wanted to share. :)

Thanks Wyo for posting. Been listening to this band and some of the others referenced in thread for last couple days.

worth bumping again. I have had a spotify gunship playlist playing in the arcade for last couple weeks.

I was sharing this vid with someone that doesn't know Gunship so figured it was worth bumping this thread. Thanks again @Wyo ...never would have have checked them out, otherwise.

Woah That's Awesome, and you're welcome. Im still discovering new songs myself too.

Like usual, I am years late but watched this documentary "The Rise of the Synths" and figured I would bump the thread that got me listening to this genre to begin with. I did a free 7 day trial on screambox to watch it.

it even has a Delorean @timerunner88

…AND he has 17 keyboards! Actually set up and usable!

And the coolest poster trio ever!

So jealous.
