When I turned it on, it said on the display, "six balls missing" kicked a ball out then went to normal attract mode. I didn't play a game. A few minutes later I smelled a burning smell. The ball kick out coil (L1) must have been locked on and it overheated and blew the f6 and f7 fuses on the PPB board. Any ideas why this would happen?
Replaced the fuses f6 and f7. Checked out the coil that was locked on and it moves freely now, but clearly got hot.
Machine does power on correctly. I added a credit and tried to play a game, no ball kickout.
Went into diagnostics and the following coils do not work: 1L, 1R, 2L, 2R, 4L, 4R, 7L, 7R, 8L, 8R. Any idea why all these coils would be non working?
Also, the working L/R coils #3,5, and 6, only work as "L". ex: 3L should power auto ball launch and it does, but 3R should light left playfield flash and instead powers the auto ball launch.
I'm wondering, the coils that work are all 50v. Does that offer a clue as to what is wrong?
All other coils 9 thru 22 apear to work correctly.
So now I'm not getting power to these coils. Fuses are good.
