Just traded my voyager for a gunblade project and I'm trying to determine were to start. One gun works fine but the other tracks erracticly with the reticule disapearing and apearing randomly makeing that player unplayable. Besides that the monitor needs some adjusting it slighty dim and the colors near the bottom are a little off. Any tips or suggestions welcome.

If it's a 50" then you've got the dreaded Mitsubishi projection monitor
with the bad tubes.

The guns use potentiometers in the base of the gun for tracking. You've
got either bad pot(s) or a break in the harness.

Gun Traking

The pots are dirty. They are a bit costly to replace. I have removed them from the guns. There are 2 pots per gun. One for the X and one for the Y. If you only want to clean them you can do one of two things.

1: very carefully bend the tabs that hold the pot together and pry up one side, just enough to spray some cleaner into the pot, then rotate the shaft back and for rapidly. Treat the pry up like as if you were going to take apart a watch and if you bent the cover out to far all of the springs and gears would go shooting out.
.
2: I tryed this with mY T2. Pull the pots from the guns and place them in a small cup of alcohol for a bit then rotate the pots to clean them followed up by hitting them with some compressed air. Letting them dry and then reinstalling them.

3:Or you can spend anywere from $10ea on up for new pots. Some reasearch should give you the right ohms along with the right shaft size and shape you will need. Digi key should have them instock.

Thanks for the info I was hoping the boards were not the issue. Need to get ahole of the manual so I can see how the guns come apart.
