Just bought a 60-in-1 jamma board and am about to play me some Gun Smoke.

The dip switches have a 3 button or 1 button mode. I have 3 buttons, so there's

Just wondering (since I cannot tell from the photo of the Gun Smoke cabinet here on KLOV), what are the 3 buttons used for during game play?

I imagine one is for shooting, but what are the other 2? I don't remember any jumping ability in the game.

Can anyone help?

I tried playing it some on mame, just didn't get the same "feel" of the arcade, but that usually is the case with mame.

I have gotten through the whole game bitd, used to play it religiously in a local bar after work, great game btw :)

I haven't played it on a 60-1 yet just mame, I didn't have a very nice controller to use for it either, I remember the original cab the buttons were set apart perfectly, set up accommodated the left or right handed player.

Does anyone know where I can get a template for the Gun Smoke control panel?

I know it varied depending on how the cabinet conversion was done, but I was looking for the official button placements relative to the joystick.

Thanks.

I'm still searching if anyone knows where I might find an accurate template, like control panel overlay art that can be downloaded.

Or even if someone has a compass it would be possible to find the diameter of the circle where the arc goes through the center-line of all three shoot buttons.

And to get an idea a picture of the three buttons along with the distance between the closest button and the joystick.

Thanks.

Darren,

I built my Gunsmoke from a NOS kit, and I don't remember there being a template for button layout. I just drilled mine like I wanted them. Good luck in your search. Gunsmoke is a great game.

Gunsmoke on my 60 in 1 is VERY loud! No matter how quiet my other games are, its always super loud.

Love the game, but I suck at it! :)

Ok, then I guess I'll just have to wing it.

Thanks.
