Gumball machine rope light replacement

It probably won't be a drop in, but it's a good option. You just run any extra into the bottom and tie wrap it in place.

I had to fix some interesting gumball machines - A Wowie Zowie and Wacky Gumball Factory. Even when I got parts from the original company, I had to grind and file down things to fit.

It isn't mission critical to have an exact length, so make sure it is long enough, and grab it.

Secondly, that was my worst case guess. That, and possible mangling of whatever the electrical connection is.

Don't worry about mangling the electrical connection. Cut off the connector assuming they operate on the same voltage, and butt splice it to the new string of lights. If you have moisture, make sure you add heat shrink to the connection to lock that out, and you'll be fine.
