Oddly enough, someone from France found my business and emailed me asking for help. In short, he has a Guitar Hero missing the security dongle. Anyone know where he can find a replacement?

I think Betson Imperial or Betson Midwest.

and those dongles on their own are rather expensive. to the tune of about $900. now if he can fake it and say he has the metal clip off the original USB dongle though, maybe he can get it for $300 instead........ I think that's how it works (speaking from awful Big Buck Hunter Pro experiences)

I don't doubt that. Maybe someone cracked the software?

yeah there's only like an older dongle type that I think may have been cracked, and that's probably only from the BBH Pro era, cause they had those parallel cable things on like Fast and the Furious and then they changed to USB, then another USB. Raw Thrills jacked up the security on the next batch. granted, that's from almost 10 years ago now too, so it must be serious.

Anything raw thrills on windows is a piece of cake to reverse engineer…… if you have the game dongle to do the work ……..Without it, other than rockey games like big buck and dond (which can be cracked without it due to rocky 4 being weakly implemented) Linux based raw thrills games were a big problem to reverse, but that to has now passed for the most part. With the exception of the Luks encrypted targets. But those too are pretty easy once you have the dongle and original computer to work with. I felt like this needed a bump after a decade so the current state is accurate . 😂
