I seem to remember seeing either a post here, or a page from a WG manual explaining the best way to adjust colors.

Mostly I'm wondering how to use the RGB gain and cutoff controls and if I can get a little more contrast out of this monitor I'm adjusting now.

Does anyone recall seeing a guide about this?

permitting your tube is healthy and color emissions are all good, I only ever turn up the RGB cutoffs on a black background enough to tint and then back off to black. it's Buffett's method, it's very simple to do.

Thanks, these are good references. I think I have this particular one dialed in as good as it's gonna get. The problem now is matching the colors on 5 monitors in one racing game, 4 different models, and I can't find or can't reach the controls for some of them. They also have different names, like bias, drive, gain, cutoff, etc.

This is usually a non issue on standalone games as long as the colors are set up as Buffet shows in the video, but when the monitors are right next to each other and playing the same game, you can see nuances between the different monitors.

Get yourself some colorblind eyes, and the differences won't bother you anymore
