Actually they really were back in the day. The Vendo / VMC company mostly made machines for coke but they werent all embossed with the Coke name. The ones that werent were bought by Pepsi or other companies.....stripped down and made into that companies own cola machine. I know that not exactly what you were getting at here but I just thought Id throw that out there.

Back in the day, my local Safeway grocery store had a '70s era Coca-Cola soda machine converted into their own Cragmont store brand.
The large rectangular backlit panel above the row of buttons (the marquee?) was blue with the Cragmont logo, but the sides of the machine were still red with "Here's the Real Thing. Coke." printed in white near the top of each side.
Soda machine manufacturers made tons of machines back in the day and that continues even today. Usually Pepsi and Coke ordered specific models done up in their colors and graphics. It's not unusual to have a machine start it's life out as one brand and then later in it's life be converted to another brand. Vending companies do that all the time.
For modern machines you can order complete graphics packages to change a machine over.
