Guess I'll see you guys over on Pinside..christ....

This is why it does not have to be both ways:

If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything. I have no desire to be around haters.

You exampled price cheer leading and price policing. Two different things.

I generally agree with the sediment of "if you don't have something nice to say...". But not when it comes to the "for sale" forum. It definitely should be "both ways". Price cheer leading and price policing are EXACTLY the same thing. Just because chearleading is said nicely, why does that make it ok? It's still price policing to potential buyers that want a better price.

I'm completely jumping to the end of this thread without reading what's already been posted, so please forgive me if this has already been said.

If your intent by posting is truly to "educate a seller" do it via PM. The only point for making it public would be to prevent the seller from selling the game at his stated price. Additionally, I don't think it has to be enforced both ways. That's like teaching you're kids that it's okay to insult someone because it's okay to complement them. Obviously that's just not true.

Excellent point! A PM would be a better option because of what you have stated and I agreee that it would be the best route to take.

OPs been around since April 2011. He has a couple thousand posts. If the "no price policing" policy is new to him, he's doing it wrong.

Simple.....seller can ask anything they want........it may not sell, but they are the owner. And only they can determine what it will take to let it go. If it doesn't sell, the price will come down, or they will keep it.
