Gauntlet 1 or 2 - whats your preference?
Hi. Have a Gauntlet (mini / 2 player) cab and heard that trying to setup the Gauntlet 2 multi switcher was a futile effort - so instead, i swapped Gauntlet 2 chips on the gauntlet board and played that for a month or so.
Today, i switched back to Gauntlet. I like the simplicity of Gauntlet better- although Gauntlet 2 has more to do, it annoyed me in certain aspects - invisible walls are cheap and frustrating, especially in multi player games and waiting for them to figure out the walls, sounds werent as good (doesnt say "Save keys to open doors" - why Not???!!!, i like the melodies between levels on Gauntlet better).
The only advantage i saw was the Dragon (although it could of been BIGGER) and some cool new potions, and the opening sequence music (when the game is powered on - the classic music it plays). I also feel the level design in Gauntlet is more fun.
Made me wonder what others preferences are, and why? Let me know......
