Guaging interest: NOS onopened 19" B/W vector CRT's

Trying to get an idea if there'd be any interest in NOS new in original box 19" B/W vector CRT's for G05-802 or 19V2000 monitors. Probably in the $150-$165 range shipped in original boxes w/ insurance. I beleive they are a Philips CRT. I'll know more in a couple days.

New Monitors

Compared to other new monitor prices that sounds reasonable if they are still in good condition. If you find any Amplifones for that price sign me up.

Since most of Florida guys are interested how about we work out a deal for the lot davemcl. I'll certainly share the spoils with everyone else at the auctions. Just let me know....
:)

I'll have a better idea what's going on with these after Memorial Day. Instead of responding to a bunch of PM's, let me wait till I know how many will be available & an exact price shipped or picked up.
Thanks
Dave

If these are just the tubes....just an FYI, they'll also work in Cinematronics B/W vectors.....and all the Motorola and Wells-Gardner B/W rasters.

Are these B/W tubes unique from what you'd normally get with a 19" tube in a TV? Are they an odd angle like their RGB bretheren?

Also, did amplifone make a B/W vector? I thought they only did RGBs.

Any 19" B/W tube I've ever seen is the same....including TV's (though, you don't find many 19" B/W TVs). Now, I'm not gonna say they are all the same....just the ones I've seen. I have personally swapped WG V2000, WG V1000, Electrohone G-05, Motorola XM series, Motorola M series, and Cinematronics (a la Star Castle, Rip Off, etc.).

I've never seen on Amplifone B/W.....wasn't Amplifone just a name change/spin-off for Electrohome?

No, monochrome tubes are pretty much all alike from what I've seen. Tubes from old monochrome computer terminals work great, but those are hard to come by nowadays.... most where dumped 10 - 15+ years ago. I wish I'd saved more from the dumpster back then....

Got some of the CRTs

I got the CRT's last week. I put 1 in my asteroids & it looks good, nice & bright. Bungy was the first to PM me, so I let him have the first 2. I had a busy week, so didn't have time for checking shipping rates & shipping anything. I was supposed to get 6, but was only get 5 right now. I need 2, so that leaves 1 still available. The cost to me shipped was a little more than I was initially quoted. It's in the original old stock box. It would be $170 shipped. I could take a couple pictures if you want. Bungy left feedback about how his looked installed on my itrader page.
I might be able to get a few more in a week or so if there is still interest.

I sent an email to the next person to PM me.

These are nice tubes. Here is the one I installed in my Asteroids. The 2nd pic is the old tube and doesn't show the burn so well, but that dot in the center was nasty. I usually power on all my vectors at the same time and Asteroids used to become visible last, but now it comes right up before anything else. It is very crisp and bright. I'm very happy with my purchase. Dave's a great guy, you should buy from him!
