I'm thinking about adding some Atari B/W raster games to the fix-it list. Thinking about Atari Basketball, Firetruck, and Football. Anyone in need of repairs on these?

Even 10 years ago, there wasn't much demand for b&w raster game repairs. I recalll when Al Kossow (sp?) was around and he was the resident b&w raster game repair guru for Eldorado Games, the demand just wasn't there. Then again, the real demand was Pac/MsPac/Galaga, so what's that say?

Now b&w vectors.....or even COLOR vectors -- now that's something we can talk about. :)

Dave

Cough..Atari Vectors!

I don't need any of those games right now, but I'm on the look out for an Atari Football.

You might be right. I just added Atari Basketball to the list just because I'm set up for it now. I thought folks might be clamoring for Atari Football repairs.

I'd just keep adding capabilities as you can....people will come to you eventually if you market the fact that you work on these. Not too many people repair the older b&w stuff anymore. Eldorado could stand to use some homegrown competition, methinks!

If people were clamoring, i wouldn't have 5 working boards sitting on the shelf :)

It's more fun to fix casually than to fix with someone breathing down your neck anyway... heh

I dig that. Although if I'm fixing casually, they're more likely to sit on the shelf! :D

I need my Atari "pinball" sound fixed. I can't figure it out. It beeps when you press start, but that's as far as it will go.

how about Midway 8080 boards... Eldorado had my board for 3 months , the person who repairs them is sick and they stopped doing monitor repairs also so i guess we need somone else to do board repair

PM'ed ya. That one I might be able to to. I'll take a look at the schematics today.

I thought about those. But then doesn't Alex @ Elektronforge fix those? I could probably get around to fixing those someday.
