Currently own a GT2010 Live Cabinet, with the software upgraded and running GT2015. Wanting to upgrade my hardware to run a HDMI flat screen tv/monitor.

Hoping someone can help me as to what motherboard, CPU, RAM and videocard to buy. From my limited understanding the software is very particular about the hardware installed, especially the videocard. Please provide part numbers if you can, thank you.

Currently installed is : -

Motherboard - D915GUX

RAM - 1GB

Videocard - GeForce 6600

You should be able to upgrade your video card to a 750Ti and run HDMI assuming the version of the software you have can support it.

There is a link for the model number of the Video Card on the IT website.

Thanks jimmyfloyd. I was hoping for something not so expensive. Ideally I'd like to upgrade the motherboard to a faster unit and add a HDMI capable videocard. Slightly older models to help keep the price down, perhaps something a year or so older?

Contact bigdenny here in the forum, he has tons of knowledge and a great library of builds for most of the Nighthawk systems.
Depending on what your CID is it may not cost as much as you think.

Yeah. I actually read your request wrong and thought you wanted 1080p HDMI, which required the 750Ti.

I believe that you can use anywhere from the MSI 9500GT on up on the motherboard list they offer on their website to get HDMI. There is another thread here with a list of cards that BigDenny has found to work with all of the IT games if you were looking to do a one computer or system type build for the games.

If this is just a single GT system, you could try some of the others. GT2015 Should support all of the video cards on the list if above 10.04.06, and up to the Zotac GT640 if below. Remember, these games require specific cards (GT especially) if you plan to upgrade them with software from IT. If not, then there are some card varients of the ones shown in the list that do work.

The card prices can vary greatly, and it seems that IT used a lot of cards that are a bit harder to find early on.

As far as motherboards, I have not looked into those as much. I have a DG31PR that was running my GT2016 with a Dual Core processor and 2gb on my bench. It will be upgrading my D915GUX in one machine shortly.

Thank you, much appreciated. I will contact him now.

Thank you for the advice so far. Do you have a link to the thread you mentioned? I searched through some of BigDenny's posts I thought might be relevant and couldn't find that list.
