Hey all,

I'm trying to get the GRS yoke to work with RoadBlasters on a Raspberry Pi setup in a custom CRT bartop cab. I've tried an arpicade, pi2jamma, and RGBPi. I've read that a yoke isn't the ideal way to control Roadblasters but I've already spent so much time/money/energy building the cab thinking the GRS yoke would be an easy plug and play solution and its too late to turn back now! I'm hoping someone can help!

Thanks in advance!!Roadblasterscab.jpg

The yoke is what the real machine uses, I couldn't imagine using anything else.

No help with your compatibality issue, but looks good!

Thanks! My friend and I put a lot of work into this one.

err that's a hanaho bartop lol

Make sure you force mame to use the yoke for analog input games. You can change this in your mame.ini

hahaha - yup it was! This project started out as a pretty mangled Bubble Bobble multi game with no PCB.

I'll take a look at mame.ini - Which setting specifically should I change?

Thanks.

I believe the yolk and spinner use the same settings. Spinner should be enabled and your spinner and yolk device settings should be set to 'mouse' if the yolk is just an HID mouse/pointing device.

Cool. I'll give that a try and report back!

I'm not at home right now so unfortunately I can't give you specific details. Everything is just from the top of my head right now. If you still haven't figured it out by the time I get home I'll post some ini examples.

I wish I could help but I must say that is an awesome use of the GRS yoke. Your take on a bartop RoadBlasters looks great! If you don't mind me asking, how are you handling the gas pedal?

U-HID there's that one then there's another smaller one that I thought you used to control spinners I can't remember road blasters has a pot.

Thanks! The plan was to use the forward back motion of the yoke for the gas pedal. If that didn't work out I was going to buy a mappable usb pedal off amazon.

@mph000 Hey did you ever get this to work with the GRS yoke? I was wanting to create a repro Roadblasters cabinet myself.
