Ground strap placement Bally/Midway Spy Hunter

Hi. Can some of you with Spy Hunter videogame machine take a picture of the inside bottom of cabinet to show me where the yello ground strap is that attaches to the pedal gear/assembly? Attached is a picture of where I am trying to put mine but I don't think it is right (and since that piece is painted black, I don't think it will ground anything over the paint?). Thanks.

I just checked my machine, and it is in exactly the same place.

Paint is not the best insulator in the world--I think the strap could still do its job here. The ground strap is the last line of defense to prevent the guy outside the cab from getting a shock if the 120vac somehow gets on the pedal assembly. You could always hit that area with a file or sandpaper for some extra insurance..

What amazes me is how many shock safety straps there are in these cabs and how cavalier some ops were about cutting off the 3rd prong on the power cables, which renders it all useless.
