I am having some issues trying to get my double JAMMA switcher from Mikes Arcade working.
I have a GALAG board with a JAMMA adapter that works fine on its own. All buttons work, and I can click credits and press 1P/2P start to start a game. I have a a Galaxian board with a JAMMA adapter that also works fine on its own. Same story.
But when I hook up the double JAMMA adapter inline with the boards, the switches stop responding. The video plays through fine, but I can't start a game, add credits, or switch to the other board. It is hooked up like this:
GALAG --> Jamma adapter --> cabinet harness = OK
Galaxian --> Jamma adapter --> cabinet harness = OK
GALAG --> Jamma adapter --> Double JAMMA adapter -> cabinet harness = NOPE
Galaxian --> Jamma adapter /
It sounds like a ground/common issue to me, but since both games work on their own I am scratching my head trying to figure out what to check. It is possible that the double JAMMA adapter doesn't work, since I got it (NIB) along with a game purchase. I don't know if it ever worked correctly, but the video does pass through just fine.
Anyone have any ideas how to trouble-shoot?
