Sorry if this a dumb question, I am new to working on this. I have a Golden Tee 2k. When I ran a test it said Fast Grom,,,Board Test Failed. Can anyone give me any information on what exactly this means and can I replace a grom? It said Grom_0 was the one that failed. Basically when I move the ball back to swing the screen does some strange things but still works. Thanks for any help you can give.

accoding to the manual that means the rom is defective and needs to be replaced.

id do a full test instead of the fast one to make sure you arent missing something. Another quick check would be to make sure you have good 5vdc to the boards, because if its low it can cause issues.

you could pull and reseat roms to make sure its not just a krappy connection someplace.

Cadillacman thanks for the response. You may have hit on a question I asked earlier. I have found that there are two red wires going from the board to a fuse and from the fuse to the power supply. One of the wires is hooked to the +5v 15A on the power supply. The other red wire is not connected to anything (looks like it should be). I am not sure what post on the power supply I should hook it to. Any thoughts? Thanks, again

thats very scary. post a pic will ya? Id assume part of the board was missing 5v for some reason and they made a jumper. Id leave the other wire alone at the moment.

Cadillacman, there is a wire harness that includes two red wires, an orange wire, and two black wires that plugs into the board. The other end connects to an adapter (the white plastic connections) and heads to the power supply. The orange wire goes straight to the power box. The two black wires go to a fuse (both to the same fuse) then onto the power box. The two red wires go to another fuse (both to the same fuse) and one of the red wires goes to the power box but the other is just hanging but looks like it should be attached to something. I will try to get a pic posted. Thanks again.
