Greyhound Jumbo Crane Drive Belt RESOLVED

My belts are worn out and causing the bridge to travel crooked. It even managed to fall once! Are the belts available or are they just O-rings? I have searched around but cannot find belts for greyhounds specifically (Happ has belts for "Big Choice", I don't know if they're the same). I might have to size an o ring at a hardware store. Does anyone know the size of an unstretched belt for a Jumbo Greyhound?

Mine were ready to break and I found that o-rings from a local (not Homedepot, or Lowes, etc) hardware supply store had them.

You can try www.mscdirect.com page 4275 or so.

To find the size you need get a piece of string and put it where the o-ring would be and mark the length of it. Lay it on a table and make it as round as you possibly can. Measure the inside diameter. That is the size you need. Going slightly smaller is ok. DON"T GO BIGGER!

Thats a good tip, thanks!

Maybe contact Untied Textile Fabricators since they were the ones that had bought out Grayhound years ago.

An old parts list of mine mentions a Drive Belt (part # B10025) but it does not specify which all cranes it fits. (might be a universal fit)

You are always so helpful Kevin, I will try to contact United Textile about a replacement.

I will post back when I find a solution.

RESOLVED! 3 1/2" OD x 1/8" orings work well. Found them at a hardware store. These are the drive belts for the bridge, that moves the claw front to back.
