I have a greyhound 5 in 1 machine, that sometimes works fine and some times will in the middle of play seem like its loosing power and then just show a blue screen with "ERROR" in the middle of the screen ............ After goofing and jerking around with it a while you can get it to restart sometimes its good for a while sometimes not.......... Anyone ever run into this ???? What causes it ????

Power supply?
Ics ???
Where do I start I have someone who wants to buy this machine but I gotta fix this issue

Thanks !!!

If it seems like its loosing power I would at least rule out the ps. Or just replace it with a good one and see if that fixes the problem. I would also check the harness to make sure there's nothing causing it to short out. Then do a visual check of the board and see if there's something bad. Like caps, broken traces, etc..

Hope this helps

Everything visually checked out ...... I eliminated the test switch and it seems to be ok ..... Also disconnected the old ass Rowe bill unit box in there that had the fault light on .......I've never messed with or played with those units whata the story with them ????? It has a bill unit hooked to a Rowe ... Oba controller 4-50575-05

Did you ever find the problem? I have one doing the same thing.

I do know The "ERROR" screen happens when the battery fails. MAME shows the NVram needs to be reset to clear the error screen. I believe you push a series of buttons to reset. But I'm not sure how.

I haven't found the problem but I did discover that flipping the test switch and rebooting will get it going ...
