Wow this feels good. The monitor was suffering shutdown, and all I had to do to get it working was to make a new clip that connects flyback to the tube (out of sheet metal, just like the original) and I used some needle-nose plyers to snap the epoxy on the B+ and Shutdown pots on the chassis. I marked the position before I turned the pots, and rotated them back after breaking them free. I think just turning them cleaned the contact and the monitor doesn't go into shudown anymore. Don't worry the pot is back in the original position, I won't be operating a X-Ray lab or anything.
I still need to put the cabinet back together, but it is great to have this working again. I love the music.
