Hi

I have a Gremlin Trapshoot, I imported it from the States to the UK some years back. I found it on Ebay complete with coin box and remote. It had been stored in a games workshop for over 20 years. The seller kindly placed it all on a pallet for me and it arrived intact!! amazing!

I found a bad 5v regulator and replaced all the old lamps, It plays fine now

You can see it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roRieYcPlLw

Mine is a white screen version, my question is....which one is more desirable?

I have some spare PCB and remotes I'd be willing to sell...drop me a PM if interested.

I think it depends on what you want out of your game. The White screen is more rare I believe, but IMO the black screen produces an easier to see image. Cool that you got it working, I've been having a hard time finding parts for my Foul Play wallgame.

At one time we had two dozen of these machines on our route. The white face was the most common. After many operator complaints of yellowing & burning of the face, the manufacturer switched to a black face later during the production run. This was a major improvement.

I always wanted to get one of these! I think they were a little before my time cause I really don't remember them on locations....

What's the better version, the EM or the SS version? I'm digging the Trap Shoot one!

EM? I think all Gremlin Trapshoot's are SS. I'd never sell mine I was just curious. It's not so much white as Grey when switched off, It can't have had much use as it has no burns or cracks in the Styrene screen. You can't see any images when its off though....I prefer it like that.

I'm looking for the schematics of the Trapshoot test unit that was available. I'd like to make a modern version of it. If anyone has a manual for one could you please make a scan of it.

I think mine is the only one in the UK.

If you run across one let me know. I have several of the gremlin games on my list to repair, along with a dozen plus boards. The size of the game makes it hard to work on them. I end up clamping them to a table and use a mirror. I had all but forgoten 7400 logic until I bought these...........

I grew up playing the Gremlin 70's version. I like that one better than the newer one with the dot matrix display. It did help to replace the bulbs with leds for the clay pigeons on the 96 version.
