I know this might be a little obscure, but I have two Gremlin Head On boardsets that are different revs.
The first (the pcb mounted in the cab) has no revision markings is a Black & White version and is currently working.
The second (pcb with the white background) is marked Rev. D. It's currently not working (I think). Note that it has connectors installed on the left for color output as well as many extra header pins on the top left and on the right. There are also extra chips in the color output section - but many of the sockets, I think should be unpopulated - at least to match my other set.
I can't find any info about this later rev on the 'net - should I assume same pinouts? Since the wiring harness was cut and there was no connector to the color out - can I hook this board up in my cab (to a B&W monitor)?
In repairing the other board, I "borrowed" the chip from the upper left corner and the newer board's roms - which match MAME's (1 player version). The older board's roms don't match mame- but I think a number of them are likely bad.
I'll keep trying to sort this out - any insights / pics of other boardsets would be helpful.
