Can you take a pic of what you are seeing ?
Hard to visualize "getting garbled display in one section".
Since these seem to be far and few between, it may take awhile to find any info or direct help with it. (hard to troubleshoot uncommon boards without them in hand so to speak)
I have a Spirit of '76 pong type cocktail that's the same way..... I have found ZERO information about it or even someone that has another. So I already expect it to take me awhile to finish troubleshooting.
