So, i received a Blasto stand around cabinet from my friend in a trade, There are quite a few problems,
the monitor does not center the image and no v-hold h-hold adjustments get it quite perfect, the image is also not exactly centered. I ordered a Cap kit from bob roberts for the xm501 motorola monitor.
The display of the game field is not accurate from screens/ emulated versions of the rom
I have a white area as well as the letters G and A all over the player 1 side of the screen,
Now i started testing as it says to in the blasto owner manual,
The power supply tests say to disconnect the outputs from the power board and test several areas
A +9 is actually +12
B +19 is 17.8
C -19 is NOTHING
D -12 is -12
E +12 is 12
F 5v is 5.2v
G zero is zero
(my readings are estimates)
What would be the suggested method to repair this power suppy board?
simply caps or would i want to replace more of the components?
Would these items cause bad display on the screen?
Any help is appreiciated and i will be doing my best to fix this rather then mame it
