Don't open an arcade in rosemead. Rosemead has some rules that make trying to open one impossible.

Welcome to klov.

Check with the city before signing the lease.

Welcome fellow SoCal homie.

Do NOT open an arcade in Cali. I've witnessed multi millionaires do this and give up. Ask @Alpha-tron

Enjoy the hobby and have Arcade parties at your spot, keep it there and you'll be good.

Welcome to KLOV from a Silicon Valley member!

I also agree with the general consensus of not opening an arcade in California.

Jambo Safari?! Wow! Supposedly the only other game that works with the Jambo Safari setup is Crazy Taxi. I believe some small modifications are needed though.

I had a crazy taxi up until this past summer and considered it

Success of an arcade depends more on the person who runs the arcade and the customers who support the arcade.

The days of putting in a bunch of machines and minimum wage employees as a business model Isn't very profitable.

Are thier profitable arcades? They can be. But it not easy as it sounds.

If you design an arcade for yourself, this doesn't mean the public is going to share your same vision.

Talk to many people before following your dream.

Learn to repair your own stuff.

Thank you all for welcoming me and for sharing your thoughts - appreciate the wisdom

I am looking at any arcade venture like a trip to Vegas - " this is my gambling budget - if I lose it fine and if I win great "

Jambo is super fun - I got it at an auction and it works great. Funny enough it was next a to Crazy Taxi that I was interested in and opted for the Jambo instead as it was in much better shape and went cheap.

I rather see you see you win.
Stacking the cards in your favor means your going to be around longer.

We need more successful arcades places not less.

formerly grew up in SGV, lived in Alhambra. welcome to the party
Where are you thinking of opening? Great advice from these guy's, definitely check with whichever city you are contemplating doing an arcade. A fellow klov'er wanted to do one and the city threw up roadblocks, had to abandon the dream unfortunately, very frustrating. Ask lots of questions.

We have a sit down Crazy Taxi if you get the itch, lol. One of my son's fav games. yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
