I have the following machines for sale.

ASTROIDS: Origional cabinet. Was working but then was moved and is no longer working. It must be a super easy fix that would take 30 seconds to repair, but I don't have 30 seconds. That's why I still want $1500 for it. Retail stores sell this for $15,000.

PAC-MAN: The rarest game, ever. Upgraded with an LCD monitor and an Arkanoid spinner for fast corners. $1800.

48-IN-1 MULTI MACHINE: $4800, firm. That's 48 games in one. And no, I didn't just buy an $80 board and a JAMMA adaptor and stick it in an old cabinet. Oh wait - yes I did. But you don't know that because you've never seen an arcade machine in your life.

MAME MACHINE: Used an old desk and a shoebox. Looks awesome, so sweet I want it for my girlfirend. But it has to go. $5000. You can remove control panel for easy carrying, and it doubles as a bedframe.

MR DO! You can put it in your restaurant and make lots of money or your living room and make lots of money or the local grocery store sure they'll let you with no license and make lots of money all you need is a lock bar $8000.

WILLIAMS MULTI CABARET: Made of pressed cardboard, plays 12 games. Controls cost around $5 to manufacture. Terrible emulation. Got it at Costco. Rare. $1000.

DONKEY KONG: made from TRON cabinet, one of a kind with custom Donkey Kong stickers and computer with mouse holder. I could've sold the empty cabinet for some money, but I thought it'd be better to turn it into junk and sell it fairly cheap instead. Because, you know, that makes total sense. $100 at LAX

** CRAIGSLIST ADVISORY --- AVOID SCAMS BY DEALING LOCALLY
** Avoid: wiring money, cross-border deals, work-at-home
** Beware: cashier checks, money orders, escrow, shipping

are you for real on these prices come on get real

---

That's the best response I've had so far.

I'm thinking about emailing back: "Ok - I'll knock $100 off the price and go $4700 on the multi-game. I'll do that because no one likes Van Van Car. But you've got to promise not to play Van Van Car if I discount it. Otherwise, no fairsies.

(P.S. - Funny chi-town post!)

I knew I should have checked here first - I sent an email 10 minutes ago applauding the post because I've been meaning to do one.

Plus I'd *love* to know what people respond with.

I'd love to see something parodying ALL of the SoCal arcade CL listings. I love how you gave a nod to the legendary LAX guy. Tito Jackson's or whatever's Terra Presta would be cool too. Maybe make it the lesser known Jackson's game: Fredo Jackson's Arkanoid? Or Michael's cousin's, best friend's former roomate's housekeeper's Dig Dug?

Or about about selling a Phoenix for $2995, but saying you'll drop it to $2495 after a year, then $1995 a year after that, and then $995, and then $795...and that by somewhere around 2014/2015, it should be about the going rate for a Phoenix?

Mix in some Disney murals, Coachella tickets, realistic Minnie Mouse costume rentals, bouncer party rentals, and you'll just about have it.
