Love the part about "Professional" movers. I had a friend that hired movers for his Star Wars and they tore off his railing. They also had a crappy dolly not strapped in going down stairs. I'd still go for it if I didn't have a Tron.

"This is the original Tron arcade game from 1981. It was a lot of fun but is now just taking up space. Also, it is currently showing an error message when I turn it on. I'm not sure how to fix that but if you are interested in this posting it is probably because you do. The only catch, and this is non-negotiable, is that you MUST hire professional movers. The game weighs several hundred pounds and needs to be carried down one flight of stairs with a glass entry at the bottom and I cannot risk an accident."

Yeah, I don't understand that either. I trust my collector buddies way more than I trust a random mover who may or may not have handled games in the past. Sweet deal.

I think that poster doesn't know squat about professional movers - those guys come in all flavors from 'truly professional, insured, smart, and worth every penny' (I've used those guys for a house move) to 'rude, stupid, can't figure out the ratchet strap on their hand truck'.

I think he ACTUALLY means that he wants the mover to insure against damage to his home, which is fine, but he should say what he means, because otherwise he's gonna get the wrong thing.

He should have stated a "KOV'r" will be needed to move it, I'm not as big a collector as most but dang I sure have moved a ton of cabs in all sorts of places and situations, I'm sure we have a ton of "pro" cab movers here.

I saw this too, and that statement literally dissuaded me from contacting the guy immediately. Professional movers? Ugh... Looks like a really nice game though.

Looks like it's missing all the art around the monitor and inside the sides of the cabinet. How much would it cost to get all that stuff for the thing you think?

I bought it...haven't seen it in person yet but arrangements have been made. This one has been on my list for a while so I couldn't pass it up.

So I take it you're going to show up in a tee shirt with a hastily made iron on that reads "Jehuie's Moving Co. - No Job Too Small". ;)

Congrats! Post lots of pics when you get it - it looked nice in the cl ad. Should be an easy fix too.

I have taken an arcade from two flights of stairs. I stripped the cab down freaked the ex owner out. Cabs are light when they are almost empty lol

Congrats!!! I offered him some money for this this morning and even offered to give him a $150 deposit during lunch. I never got a reply. I guess you had the better offer :)

I sold my Gauntlet II cabinet to KLOV member Ice Cream Jonsey a few months ago. "Professional Movers" showed up and promptly smashed into my basketball goal with their moving truck, breaking the rim off. I'd love to see what they would have done with a flight of stairs with a glass door at the bottom ...

Yeah, professional movers can make mistakes just like anyone else. The difference is that they are insured to cover those mistakes. I can understand the guy wanting to have it moved by a pro to avoid the risk of being on the hook for damage to the building.
